The plan was to design and make a patrol box/camp kitchen that was compact and lightweight. Approx cost is $154.
Our packs current patrol boxes are large and way too heavy, which are not safe to carry even by an adult. It should be able to be transported in most cars and carry all the essentials a patrol box needs to operate a pack/troop kitchen to prepare and serve food to Scouts, leaders and parents. This patrol box is made from 1/2” plywood and weighs approximately 55lbs, which includes the stove, pots, washing tubs, gas, utensils. The approximate size is 35” long by 14” high and 14” deep. The legs and light pole are stored and secured on the back of the patrol box. It can be setup in an L shape or side by side.
